About

Grasp the Nettle Films was formed in 2015 as a collaboration between Producer Rebecca Wolff and Writer/Director Dean Puckett. Based between London and Devon the company was named one of Creative England’s CE50 companies 2019 which marks it out as one of the most exciting and disruptive businesses in the creative sector.

They have produced a number of shorts that have been funded by BFI Network, Creative England, Female Film Force/Bumble, Alter and The Guardian.  Several of their shorts have been selected as Vimeo Staff Picks and picked up for distribution by Alter and Shorts International. 'Satan's Bite' was selected to screen at Cannes as one of the winners of the straight8 competition.

They’ve been selected for a number of well-regarded schemes such as Edinburgh Talent Lab, Network @ LFF, Les Arcs Coproduction Village and Pustnik.

They are working on a slate of feature projects including folk horror MAGPIE which was one of the 2018 iFeatures projects developed with assistance from BBC Films & BFI and is now in active late-stage development.
